Saudi Exports” official spokesperson stressed the importance of increasing the volume of Saudi non-oil exports to the African continent. <Thamer Al-Mashrafi, spokesperson for Saudi Exports, emphasized the importance of the African continent as an export terminal in which Saudi products enjoy a prominent position among African consumers, as they are characterized by quality and competitiveness and are based on the depth of historical, commercial and economic ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its counterparts from African countries. Therefore, participation in the Building Africa exhibition comes today and follows a number of promotional efforts for national products and services, in which we focus on highlighting the competitiveness of Saudi industries with their leading quality and distinctive diversity; to expand the reach of the brand “Saudi Industry”. It is noteworthy that the volume of Saudi non-oil exports to the African continent during the period (2019-2023) exceeded 132 billion riyals, in which the petrochemical and polymers sector was on the list of export sectors, followed by the building materials sector, then the packaging sector, and the highest exported products were polypropylene, polyethylene and fertilizers.
While South Africa was among the highest importing countries of Saudi products with a total value of 11.91 billion riyals, Kenya recorded a total value of 7 billion riyals, while Nigeria recorded a value of 5.82 billion riyals.
