Real Estate Authority Chairman receives Qatar's Real Estate Regulatory Authority Chairman

They discussed enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences in regulation, oversight, off-plan sales, and field visits to platforms

The CEO of the General Real Estate Authority, Engineer Abdullah bin Saud Al-Hammad, welcomed the CEO of the General Authority for Real Estate Regulation in the State of Qatar, Engineer Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Obaidli, and his accompanying delegation at the Authority’s headquarters in Riyadh.

During the meeting, they discussed topics of mutual interest and explored ways to strengthen cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the field of the real estate sector.

The delegation was briefed on the Authority’s work in regulating and legislating the real estate sector in the Kingdom, and reviewed the General Real Estate Authority’s comprehensive strategy, as well as its pioneering experience in the real estate development sector through off-plan sales systems, real estate contributions, and the escrow account mechanism, and gained insight into real estate operations through licensing, oversight, and the services of the Saudi Real Estate Arbitration Center, In addition, the delegation visited the headquarters of the National Housing Company and reviewed it as a model for the Authority’s operational processes and its approach to developing platforms and monitoring real estate services, and visited the headquarters for off-plan sales and leasing operations to learn about the working mechanisms of its operational team.

For their part, the delegation members praised the regulations, legislation, experiences, operational models, platforms, and real estate services they were briefed on, which are designed to enhance reliability and transparency in the real estate sector, and emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and experiences, which helps overcome challenges and drives the sector’s growth in both countries in accordance with sustainable urban best practices to build environmentally responsible urban communities that are vibrant, resilient, and aligned with economic and social goals.
