Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Haqeel, the Saudi-Turkish Contracting Forum and the accompanying workshop, organized by the Saudi Contractors Authority, which aims to connect contracting companies between the two countries by creating alliances in major development projects, was launched on Wednesday in Istanbul, in the presence of Turkish Deputy Minister of Commerce Mustafa Tuzgu, Chairman of the Saudi Contractors Authority Engineer Zakaria Al-Abdalqader, President of the Turkish Contractors Association Mr. Erdal Erin, and representatives of Saudi and Turkish companies.
On Wednesday, the Saudi-Turkish Contracting Forum and accompanying workshop were held in Istanbul.
This comes as part of the official visit of the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing to the Republic of Turkey to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of real estate development, road infrastructure, waste management and recycling, in addition to attracting leading Turkish companies in these fields to enter the Saudi market.
Al-Haqeel met on the sidelines of the forum with representatives of a number of Saudi and Turkish contracting companies to discuss investment and partnership opportunities in the Saudi contracting sector, especially the municipal and housing sectors, and ways to develop regulations, legislation and work mechanism to contribute to the quality of services provided in the Kingdom to citizens, residents and visitors, stressing that the Kingdom is keen to involve the private sector in the process of development and development.
The Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing emphasized in his speech during the launch of the forum the importance of coordination and joint work in the fields of environment, roads, cleanliness, waste management and recycling in order to develop and improve the services of cities; reflecting positively on their residents, expressing his optimism about the results and outcomes of the forum in developing joint development work and increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.

He added: "The forum aims to create investment opportunities and effective alliances between companies in the two countries, harness efforts and resources to improve the quality of life in Saudi cities, improve the urban landscape and provide adequate living conditions by creating prosperous cities, benefiting from successful experiences and applying the best international practices in this regard, to make a real and tangible impact in Saudi cities."

He pointed out that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 aims to upgrade the fields and development sectors that contribute to the economic and social aspects, noting that the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing works according to a clear roadmap to achieve many development goals to reach a vibrant society, a prosperous economy and an ambitious nation.
His Excellency pointed out that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 aims to upgrade the fields and sectors of development that contribute to the economic and social aspects.
Haqeel noted that the contracting sector in Saudi Arabia is growing significantly, expressing the Kingdom's keenness to expand its partnerships and benefit from international companies and houses of expertise, welcoming contracting and real estate development companies and investors from the Turkish side wishing to invest and work in various sectors such as construction, roads and waste management in Saudi cities.
