His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Haqeel, concluded his official visit to the Republic of Turkey, which aimed to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of real estate development, road infrastructure, waste management and recycling, and create new alliances between Saudi and Turkish contractors in these fields.

Al-Haqeel witnessed, in Istanbul, the launch of the Saudi Turkish Contracting Forum and the accompanying workshop, which was organized by the Saudi Contractors Authority to connect contracting companies between the two countries by creating alliances in major development projects, with the participation of Turkish Deputy Minister of Commerce Mustafa Tuzgu, Chairman of the Saudi Contractors Authority Engineer Zakaria Al-Abdulqader, President of the Turkish Contractors Association Mr. Erdal Erin and representatives of Saudi and Turkish companies.
The session was attended by Saudi Contractors Authority Chairman Engineer Zakaria Al-Abdulqader and President of the Turkish Contractors Association Erdal Erin, as well as representatives of Saudi and Turkish companies. During the session, His Excellency stressed the importance of coordination and joint work between Saudi and Turkish companies in the fields of environment, roads, cleanliness, waste management and recycling in order to develop and improve the services of cities in a way that reflects positively on their residents, expressing his optimism about the results and outcomes of the workshop in developing joint development work and increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries and harnessing all possibilities for the advancement and prosperity of cities.
Haqeel also witnessed the meetings of the Saudi and Turkish Contractors Association. Al-Haqeel also attended the roundtable meetings between the Saudi and Turkish sides to review the most prominent opportunities and leading investment projects in the real estate sector, and highlight the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts in the fields of building technologies and development in the construction and building sector, infrastructure projects and waste management and recycling.
He expressed his optimism for the results and outcomes of the workshop in developing joint development work and increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries. During the meetings, His Excellency expressed his aspiration to deepen partnerships with the Turkish side through joint cooperation with contractors, developers and investors in the construction sector in the Republic of Turkey and contribute to the implementation and development of suburbs and major residential projects in Saudi Arabia, noting that the Ministry is working through the housing program to develop real estate projects in the Kingdom with about 200 private sector developers and qualify many developers to enter the residential projects.
