His Excellency the Minister of Municipal, Rural, and Housing Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Inspection and Oversight, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Haqil, witnessed today the signing of a cooperation agreement between the National Center for Inspection and Oversight and TÜV Rheinland International, with the aim of enhancing inspection and oversight activities in accordance with best practices.
The agreement, signed by Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Abdulkarim, CEO of the National Center for Inspection and Oversight, and Mr. Frank Dorsers, CEO of Regulatory Affairs at TÜV Rheinland, to improve inspection and oversight operations and enhance their effectiveness by applying best practices related to the concept of Smart Oversight concept, with the aim of improving the quality of operations and the level of compliance with laws and regulations.
Under the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in applying and implementing the Unified Inspector Model in a number of regions of the Kingdom, studying the target areas of activity for the Unified Oversight Business Model, and collaborating on reviewing, consolidating, and amending inspection checklists.
The two parties will also cooperate in training work teams on the updated checklists, as well as in developing success criteria for guidance visits and measuring impact in accordance with best practices, and in leveraging modern technologies in the fields of oversight and inspection, as well as analyzing and reviewing the results of the unified auditor model and submitting recommendations aimed at improving the audit and inspection business model, thereby contributing to higher compliance rates and an improved business environment in the Kingdom.
