However, success in this project requires careful planning and continuous follow-up of all stages of construction, to ensure maximum utilization of the financing and achieve the desired goals.
The program has clarified a number of conditions that must be met by the beneficiaries of the self-build product in order to benefit from the support, which include the following:
- The applicant must be of Saudi nationality.
- Be 25 years of age or older.
- Be a head of household (married or with children).
- Not have benefited from any previous housing support.
- Have a residential land owned in his/her name or in his/her spouse's name.
- Their monthly income does not exceed SAR 14,000.
- The land must be zoned for residential use.
- The land area must be at least 300 square meters and not more than 1000 square meters.
- The land must be free of any structures or buildings.
- The land must be available for construction in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- Sakany also stipulated that the design of the house must comply with the building standards approved by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs.
- The construction must be carried out by an authorized and qualified contractor. The construction must adhere to the schedule specified in the contract.
