The Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris, owned by His Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, was named “Best Hotel in Europe” for 2014 by the American magazine Celebrated Living. Prince Alwaleed said, “Our George V Hotel is the first and most valuable in the world,” noting that the total cost of its purchase and restoration amounted to $303 million, reflecting the care Prince Alwaleed devoted to restoring the splendor and glory of this Parisian masterpiece
The George V Hotel is distinguished by its luxury, sophisticated interior design, and exquisite architecture, and its furnishings preserve a blend of classic and modern styles, uniquely adorned with ornamentation and floral motifs, along with meticulous attention to the finest details.
It is worth noting that Prince Alwaleed purchased this Parisian property in 1996 for $178 million to completely restore it, which required closing the hotel for two years starting in December 1997, before it reopened in its new form in December 1999; the renovation cost $125 million.
Since the Four Seasons Hotel George V opened with its new look and ambiance in mid-December 1999, it has gained a world-class reputation at the highest levels and is internationally renowned for the sophistication of the services it provides. Prince Alwaleed commented on this at the hotel’s reopening: “I am confident that the George V Hotel will be a jewel in the crown of the world’s hotels; A great deal of effort has been made to provide the finest services and luxury, and I am confident that the hotel’s guests will enjoy an unparalleled experience.”
