The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZTCA) has called on businesses subject to VAT whose annual supplies of goods and services exceed SR 40 million to submit their tax returns for February 2025, no later than March 31, 2025.

ZTCA urged businesses to submit their tax returns via the website (zatca.gov.sa), or submit and pay via the Authority's smart phone application (ZATCA). ZATCA urged establishments to submit their tax returns via the website (zatca.gov.sa), or submit and pay via the ZATCA mobile application to avoid the penalty for late submission of the return within the specified period, at a minimum of 5% and a maximum of 25% of the tax value that the taxpayer was required to declare.

The Authority urged establishments to expedite the submission of their tax returns via the website (zatca.gov.sa), or to submit and pay via the ZATCA mobile application, to avoid the penalty for late submission of the return within the specified period. The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZTCA) invited business taxpayers wishing to obtain more information on VAT to contact it through the unified call center number (19993), which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or the "Ask Zakat, Tax and Customs" account on the (@Zatca_Care) X platform or through email ([email protected]) or instant messaging on its website (zatca.gov.sa).

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority's (ZTCA) VAT department has announced the introduction of VAT on its website. VAT is an indirect tax levied on all goods and services purchased and sold by businesses with some exceptions.

VAT is one of the tax systems in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
