Infographic: Commercial Registry and Trade Names System services suspended next Thursday for 7 days

The ministry is urging business customers to complete orders and pay bills before shutting down services between March 27 and April 3, 2025.

<The Ministry of Commerce Ministry of Commerce has urged business customers wishing to benefit from the services of the Trade Register and Trade Names systems to complete their applications and all related matters before the scheduled developmental suspension of the current services of the two systems starting from: Thursday, Ramadan 27, 1446H corresponding to March 27, 2025, for a period of (7 days), where the services will be reactivated according to the new system on Thursday, Shawwal 5, 1446H corresponding to April 3, 2025. The Ministry noted the importance of the customer finalizing the payment of the bill when submitting an electronic request “before the scheduled shutdown date” to avoid cancellation of the request.

This comes in preparation for the scheduled shutdown. This comes in preparation for the entry into force of the Commercial Registry and Trade Names Regulations (on April 3, 2025), and the consequent radical changes to procedures, services, electronic systems and databases.

<The most prominent current services related to the two systems that will be discontinued are: Issuing a commercial register, amending a commercial register, renewing a commercial register, deleting a commercial register, transferring the ownership of a commercial register, establishing companies, amending company contracts, and reserving commercial names.

Some of the current services related to the two systems will be discontinued. <Some other services that are not affected by the two systems will continue to be provided, most notably: Commercial notification, discount licenses, franchise services, and commercial certificates.
