The General Authority for Statistics revealed in its periodic bulletin on average prices of goods and services clear changes in the prices of basic building materials in the Kingdom during May 2025, as concrete prices rose by varying percentages, while cement and block prices witnessed a variation between rising and falling, in an indicator that reflects the continued movements in the local building materials market.

Concrete prices continue to rise
Ready Concrete Prices recorded a significant increase during May on a monthly basis, and the prices came as follows:
Resistant concrete 350 kg: 230.6 riyals per cubic meter, up 2.1% from April.
Resistant concrete 250 kg: 209.9 riyals per cubic meter, up 1.9%.
Regular concrete 250 kg: 201.3 riyals, up 2%.
Cement between up and down
Cement prices witnessed a mixed performance during the same month, where:
The price of national black cement (50 kg) decreased by 1% to reach 15.8 riyals.

The price of national white cement rose by 0.6% to 38.3 riyals.
On the other hand, the price of national white cement declined by 0.6% to 38.3 riyals. <In contrast, the price of national gypsum (40 kg) declined by 2% to 16.1 riyals. <This variation reflects changes in demand and operational costs associated with the production of different types of cement.
Mixed and Block: Slight decrease in some materials
Sand and block prices witnessed mixed movements, as follows:
Mixed (sand and gravel): Decreased to 53 riyals per cubic meter by 0.5%.
White fine sand: Decreased by 1.7% to 78.2 riyals.

Red sand: Up by almost 1% to 38.5 riyals.
As for black block prices (per 1000 grains):
Size 15 cm: Decreased to 1711 riyals by 0.1%.
Down to 1711 riyals by 0.1%.
Size 20 cm: Reached 1756 riyals with a similar decrease of 0.1%.
