Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has called on businesses subject to VAT whose annual supplies of goods and services exceed SAR 40 million to submit their tax returns for the month of May 2025, no later than June 30, 2025.
It urged establishments to submit their tax returns via the website (zatca.gov.sa), or submit and pay via the ZATCA application for smart phones (ZATCA) to avoid the penalty for late submission of the return within the specified period, at (5%) as a minimum and (25%) as a maximum of the tax value that the taxpayer should have declared.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZTCA) invited business taxpayers wishing to obtain more information on VAT to contact it through the unified call center number (19993), which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or the “Ask Zakat, Tax and Customs” account on the (@Zatca_Care) X platform or through email ([email protected]) or live chat on its website (zatca.gov.sa).
VAT is one of the tax systems in force in the Kingdom and is an indirect tax levied on all goods and services purchased and sold by businesses with some exceptions.
