Economic activities in Madinah achieved growth in the volume of commercial records by the end of the fourth quarter of last year 2024, registering (61015) commercial records, distributed in twenty major economic activities, an increase of (15.8%) compared to (52705) commercial records in the fourth quarter of 2023.
A report issued by the Madinah Chamber reviewed the size of the increase in economic activities in the city, in terms of the number of active commercial records. <A report issued by Medina Chamber reviewed the size of the increase in economic activities in Medina, in terms of the number of active commercial records for each sector, indicating that the wholesale and retail trade sector accounted for (31.3%) of the total commercial records of the various economic sectors, according to the national classification of economic activities (ISIC4), while the contracting sector came second with (20.7% of the number of commercial records, followed by restaurants and catering (11.7%), service activities (8.9%), manufacturing (7.3%), vehicle maintenance (4.2%), tourism (3.3%), real estate (2.8%), transportation and storage (2.6%), professional activities (2.1%), and rental activities (1.3%), respectively. The report indicated that the list included (11) other sectors that achieved an increase of less than 1% in the volume of commercial records of economic activities in Madinah, including the sectors of communication and information, educational activities, arts and entertainment activities, agriculture, health, mining, social services, financial activities, and business services activities.
