The building materials markets in Saudi Arabia witnessed during July 2025 a remarkable wave of decline in the prices of rebar and timber, along with varying decreases in the prices of electrical wires and cables, according to the latest construction commodities bulletin issued by the General Authority for Statistics, and these price movements reflect the local market dynamics and changes in demand and supply in the construction sector.
Statistics Authority data showed that the price of a ton of national rebar (6 mm) stabilized at 2925.3 riyals during July 2025, unchanged from the previous June, while the price of iron (8 mm national) decreased by 0.7% to reach 2702 riyals per ton. The price of iron (10 mm national) fell by 0.3% to 2750 riyals, and iron (12 mm national) by 1.3% to 2643 riyals, while the price of iron (14 mm national) fell to 2647 riyals per ton with a similar decrease.
<The prices of rebar (16mm national) and (18mm national) fell by 1.3% each, to settle at 2694 riyals per ton. As for steel connecting cables (Chinese 10 kg), it decreased by 0.5% to 48.2 riyals.
<On the electrical products side, wire (2.5mm) prices fell by 1.6%, (4mm) by 0.6%, (6mm) by 1.1%, while cable (10mm national) and (120mm national) prices fell by nearly 1%. On the other hand, the price of (300mm) cable increased slightly by 0.4%, while the price of (25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 70mm) cable remained unchanged, and the price of (95mm) cable decreased by 0.5%.

The price of aluminum (Saudi 8.8m side ring) increased by 0.3% to 90.1 riyals.
