Data released by Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) showed that its total assets increased by 3.1% year-on-year, reaching about 1.98 trillion riyals (528 billion dollars) in August 2025, compared to 1.92 trillion riyals (512 billion dollars) in August last year.

Assets also recorded a monthly growth of 3.7% compared to July 2025, in which total assets reached about 1.91 trillion riyals (509 billion dollars).

However, these assets rose by 3% month-on-month compared to July, when they were 1.66 trillion rials ($442.6 billion).

Commercial bank assets

The assets of commercial banks in Saudi Arabia continued their strong growth, reaching 4.9 trillion riyals ($1.3 trillion) in August 2025, compared to 4.3 trillion riyals ($1.1 trillion) in the same month of 2024.
