The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, represented by the Industrial Services and Compliance Agency, carried out 1417 field visits to industrial facilities in the Kingdom during the month of August, which focused on following up the commitment of factories to the necessary requirements and requirements to practice industrial activity, and taking legal measures against violating facilities, within the ministry's efforts to improve the investment environment, enhance its governance, and ensure fair competition in the industrial sector.
Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, represented by the Industrial Services and Compliance Agency, carried out 1417 field visits on industrial facilities in the Kingdom last August. Jarrah bin Mohammed Al-Jarrah, spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, explained that the field visits carried out during August 2025 included 462 visits to factories in the Makkah region, 374 visits in the Riyadh region, 225 visits in the Eastern region, 99 visits in the Qassim region, 74 visits in the Medina region, 50 visits in the Jazan region, 39 visits in the Tabuk region, 31 visits in the Asir region, 26 visits in the Jouf region, 26 visits in the Najran region, 9 visits in the Hail region, and two visits in the Al-Baha region.
Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources spokesperson Jarrah bin Mohammed Al-Jarrah stressed that the visits were carried out during the month of August 2025, and two visits were carried out in the Al-Baha region. Al-Jarrah emphasized that the ministry will continue its field visits to ensure that industrial establishments apply the necessary requirements and requirements to practice industrial activity, and follow up the commitment of national factories to provide high-quality products that conform to approved standards and specifications, in addition to correcting the conditions of factories located outside industrial cities.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Industry will continue its field visits to ensure the implementation of industrial establishments. The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources requires any facility practicing industrial activity to obtain an industrial license, environmental permit, spatial licenses, safety and operational licenses to ensure the achievement of safety requirements, as well as obtaining a license from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority before starting production, in addition to obtaining quality conformity certificates for products subject to technical regulations issued by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO).
The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources requires any facility practicing industrial activity to obtain an industrial license, environmental permit, spatial licenses, safety and operational licenses to ensure the achievement of safety requirements.
