Cityscape Qatar 2025 kicks off with quality projects and a future vision for the real estate sector

The exhibition kicked off with an official and investment presence, a 41% jump in real estate sales and discussions on the strategies of Vision 2030.

<Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, Minister of Municipality, opened Cityscape Qatar 2025 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, marking the start of three days of events highlighting the future of the real estate sector in the State of Qatar and the region.

The exhibition, now in its 13th edition, is a leading platform that brings together investors, developers and decision makers. The first day witnessed a large turnout of visitors and recorded a 41% jump in real estate sales, reflecting the growing confidence in the Qatari real estate market.

The exhibition is accompanied by the thirteenth edition of the Qatar Real Estate Exhibition. The exhibition coincides with the third edition of the Qatar Real Estate Forum, organized by the Real Estate Regulatory Authority - Aqarat, under the theme “Shaping the Future of the Real Estate Sector”, where participants discussed regulatory policies, technological innovation and new investment paths in line with the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030.

Real Estate Roadmap

<His Excellency Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, Minister of Municipality, stressed that the launch of the National Strategy for Regulating the Real Estate Sector in September 2024 represented a pivotal step towards building a sustainable investment environment, noting the adoption of a new regulatory framework, licensing 19 real estate developers, and developing specialized training programs in cooperation with local and international universities, during the session “Real Estate Roadmap towards achieving Vision 2030” within the activities of the third Qatar Real Estate Forum. He explained that these efforts resulted in a record 41 percent increase in real estate sales during the first half of 2025, which reflects investor confidence and confirms the robustness of the Qatari market. The Forum also witnessed the participation of H.E. Engineer Majid bin Abdullah Al Haqeel, Minister of Municipalities and Housing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and CEO of the General Authority for Real Estate in Saudi Arabia, who emphasized that the Gulf region is witnessing a qualitative shift in the development of cities and communities, stressing that the real estate sector is no longer limited to building housing, but has become focused on creating smart, integrated and sustainable cities that enhance the quality of life.

The Forum was held over the course of the day. Throughout the day, the forum addressed a number of topics, including smart infrastructure and technological advances in the construction sector, as well as the “Lessons from Creating a Luxury Destination” session, which highlighted Qatar's efforts in attracting global capital and offering luxury and sustainable development models.

Identity and Urban Heritage

Engineer Nasser Hassan Faraj Al Ansari, Chairman of Just Real Estate, said: “Under the ambitious leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, we have built a city that reflects our heritage and identity. Preparing a city isn't just about building roads, it's like a tapestry. Since 2022, the tourism sector has seen significant growth, with between 1.4 and 1.5 million tourists visiting the country this year alone, reinforcing the role of real estate in the country's growth.”

The first day saw panel discussions on the future of construction, smart infrastructure and technological advancements, as well as the “Lessons from Creating Luxury Destinations” session, which highlighted Qatar's efforts in attracting global capital and offering luxury and sustainable development models.

The first day concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Qatar Deyaar and the National Housing Company of Saudi Arabia“NHC”, in a move that strengthens Gulf real estate cooperation and opens new horizons for joint investment.

With the start of the second day of the exhibition, the events and discussion sessions continue, amid expectations of more deals and exploring new opportunities in the real estate sector, within an agenda that combines vision, innovation and investment.

Majid bin Abdullah Al Haqeel, Minister of Municipalities and Housing of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said: “When we look at Qatari Diar, we see a company that has built great projects around the world, and today we are proud to celebrate the signing of a memorandum of understanding that paves the way for their presence in Saudi Arabia.”
