«Riyadh Metro wins Gulf Engineering Federation Award for Best Design

The Supreme Authority for the Development of Riyadh City was crowned with the Gulf Engineering Federation Award for Excellence and Creativity, where “Riyadh Metro” won the best designed project in the engineering services sector for projects implemented or under implementation in the GCC countries, and Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rubaieh and Engineer Ali bin Mohammed Al-Shuaibi won the Inventors Award for his invention “Solar Cooling”. Dr. Luay Mohammed Al Hadhrami won the Inventors Award for his invention “Solar Cooling”. The awards were announced during the 18th Gulf Engineering Forum, which was inaugurated yesterday by Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Qatar, and its activities will continue for three days.

This year's awards are dedicated to basic infrastructure projects in the GCC countries, in 5 areas, namely: Transportation and Communication, Green Infrastructure Specifications, Provision of Raw Materials for Engineering Projects, Provision of Human Resources for Engineering Projects, and Best Practices in Project Management.

This year's awards are dedicated to essential infrastructure projects in the GCC.
