<According to a report issued by the Ministry of Justice, the number of GCC nationals owning real estate in the Kingdom reached 132 GCC nationals during the period from 1/1/1436H to 4/30/1436H. Kuwaitis recorded the highest percentage of ownership of real estate in the Kingdom with 106 Kuwaiti citizens, constituting 80.3%, followed by Qataris who registered ownership by 13 citizens, followed by Bahrainis who registered the ownership of 12 Bahraini citizens, followed by only one Emirati. The Ministry pointed out that the ownership of real estate in the Kingdom by citizens of the GCC countries comes within the unity of the GCC countries in accordance with the agreements concluded in this regard. The Ministry pointed out that the conditions for the ownership of Gulf nationals in the Cooperation Council are to allow citizens of the countries from natural or legal persons to rent and own built real estate and land for the purpose of housing and investment through the legally prescribed methods of ownership or by will or inheritance.
