The recent royal speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz gave private sector companies the green light, opening the door wide to contribute to the development of this country because they are partners in development. Earlier, the Ministry of Housing went in the same direction and extended its hand to real estate development companies to contribute to finding additional solutions that enable beneficiaries to realize their wish to provide them with housing. For all these concerns and dilemmas, King Salman's vision has opened the horizons for investors and entrepreneurs to work as a team with government agencies to provide adequate housing for citizens. Especially since this concern occupies the thought of the leadership at its highest levels and what was mentioned in the speech of King Salman - may God protect him - is the biggest evidence of this (as for housing, we are determined, with God's help and strength, to develop urgent practical solutions that ensure the provision of adequate housing for the citizen.
3.1 million people are eligible for housing
As a result of the positive changes on the political and developmental map, we bode well for the Economic and Development Council headed by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, through his directives so that the waiting lists do not accumulate with 1.3 million people entitled to housing support according to the eligibility announced by the Ministry of Housing, and the waiting lists of the Real Estate Development Fund. The leader's words were quick and aimed at putting urgent solutions in place.
Maybe this map was drawn by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques by activating the partnership with the private sector, because this sector, according to local and international economic evidence, is the most capable of absorbing youth, achieving decent living opportunities, and in the specificity of housing; it is certainly the most capable, provided that effective work mechanisms are legalized, shortening time, raising quality, and most importantly achieving products at prices commensurate with the capabilities of many citizens. Especially since the government sector has the capabilities of time through licenses, official approvals, and financing. On the other hand, the private sector has the potential, the accumulated knowledge in knowing the needs of consumers, and the ability to achieve diversity in population outputs to create communities that differ in their social backgrounds and economic capacity.
