The Industrial Committee discussed in its regular meeting held recently under the chairmanship of Board of Directors member Engineer Saad Al-Mojel the results of the work of the infrastructure team, productive services and activities supporting the industry, where the chairman of the committee spoke about the issue of increasing the rents of Mudon Authority by (4) riyals per square meter, and the importance of reconstituting the Board of Directors of the second industrial city to address the decisions to raise prices and discuss all issues faced by factories, where the meeting decided that the chairman and his deputy will study the issue of forming the Board of Directors of the second industrial city and provide the Industrial Committee with that. <The meeting discussed the facilitation of obtaining visas for new factories and the issue of electronic linkage between the Ministry of Labor and other ministries, where Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Obaid spoke about the obstacles facing investors in obtaining visas for new factories, pointing to the need for this linkage, and the meeting suggested communicating with “Alam” company to discuss the possibility of linkage.
During the meeting, Engineer Osama Al-Zamil reviewed the results of the work of the manpower system team during the last period and the meeting with Board Member and Chairman of the Human Resources Committee Mansour Al-Shathri, indicating that a list of topics that will be raised in the meeting with the Minister of Labor has been drawn up, adding that the team is currently working to hold a meeting with Hadaf, and the meeting approved the preparation of a study supported by figures for all topics that will be presented in the planned meeting with the Minister of Labor.
The meeting discussed the visits recommended by the working groups, where the committee decided to visit the Secretary General of the Supreme Economic Council, while it recommended inviting Cities Authority officials to participate in the sixth meeting of the Industrial Committee, which will be held at the beginning of next year 1435 AH.
