Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Minister of Justice, sponsored the first technical forum for judicial and documentation facilities on Sunday 15/07/1431 AH at the Makarem Hall at the Marriott Hotel in Riyadh. According to Mr. Majid bin Ibrahim Al-Adwan, Acting Director General of the General Administration of Computers, this forum, which was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Justice, presented within its work: Information Technology Plan, Security Surveillance Systems Project, Smart Building Systems, Real Estate Wealth Preservation Project, Engineering of Real Estate Registration Procedures, and Notary Publics and Courts Procedures. The forum also included a presentation by Saudi Telecom and Mobily. Al-Adwan revealed that the forum was attended by a number of guests from specialized authorities in the field of information technology and electronic applications, in addition to a number of government agencies and bodies, including the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). The forum was also attended by a number of private companies related to information technology and process engineering, including Saudi Aramco, STC and Mobily. A number of senior officials of the Ministry of Justice, directors of the Ministry's branches and employees specialized in computer work in all legal departments, including courts and notary publics, attended the forum. It is worth mentioning that this forum comes within the Ministry of Justice's interest in the field of electronic technology and its relentless endeavor to apply e-government systems in its field of work; in line with the project of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to develop the judicial facility and seek to develop the judicial facility and all its departments such as courts and notaries, and to complement what the Ministry of Justice has already started to introduce the comprehensive computer system in all its sectors.
