The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) announced the results of the labor market statistics for the third quarter of 2025, which showed a decrease in the unemployment rate on an annual basis and remarkable progress in the indicators of women's participation in economic activity, as the survey results showed that the unemployment rate among Saudis reached 7.5% during the third quarter of 2025, down by 0.3 percentage points compared to the third quarter of 2024.

The results of the bulletin showed that the unemployment rate of Saudi women recorded a year-on-year decrease as the unemployment rate among them reached 12.1%, decreasing by 1.5 percentage points compared to the third quarter of 2024, indicating the effectiveness of programs and initiatives aimed at supporting women's empowerment and enhancing their employment opportunities.

The results of the bulletin showed that the unemployment rate of Saudi women recorded an annual decrease in the third quarter of 2025. The economic participation rate for Saudi males rose to 64.3%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points, while the Saudi female employment rate over the past five years increased by 3 percentage points to 29.7%, reflecting positive shifts in the structure of the Saudi labor market.

The General Authority for Statistics stressed that these indicators reflect the continued national efforts in developing the Saudi labor market and providing opportunities for community participation in building a prosperous economy and achieving balance and sustainability in the labor market in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and its programs related to developing human capital and promoting economic growth.
