According to the authority, the survey is a vital tool in analyzing demographic, social and economic changes in Riyadh, allowing the authority and decision makers to make more accurate decisions when planning for the future of the city.

The survey includes all households in Riyadh. <The survey covers all of Riyadh's 217 neighborhoods, spanning an area of 5960 km², and provides a comprehensive and integrated picture of housing, work, mobility, and public services. The survey covers six main areas, including demographic characteristics such as population distribution by age, gender, and educational level, as well as economic characteristics in terms of employment status and income level.

The survey also covers living conditions. It also addresses the living conditions of households through consumption patterns, in addition to housing characteristics such as housing type and available services, mobility and transportation patterns are also studied, and the survey also includes a measure of quality of life based on an assessment of the interconnectedness of all these factors.

The project relies on an integrated digital system in partnership with the General Authority for Statistics, which ensures that data is collected and analyzed quickly and accurately.

<Geographic analysis (GIS) is also used to produce interactive maps showing the geographical distribution of indicators, which contributes to improving planning and development processes in the city. Through this comprehensive data, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City hopes to enhance the capacity for urban planning and implement policies in line with the needs of citizens and residents in the city, contributing to the realization of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals.
