Ministry of Municipalities and Housing. <The ministry explained that these efforts also included the rehabilitation of 132 existing parks, which contributed to improving the urban environment, increasing the per capita share of green spaces, raising the efficiency of public facilities, and enhancing the attractiveness of cities for residents and visitors. Within the framework of urban planning, three local plans and one regional plan were approved, which supports the direction of urban growth according to clear organizational frameworks, promotes the optimal use of land, and increases the efficiency of long-term urban planning for cities. In terms of projects and public health, more than 100 informal landfills were closed, contributing to improving the urban landscape and reducing negative environmental impacts, in addition to establishing 17 afforestation offices in the ministry's office and secretariats to support the goals of increasing vegetation cover and promoting urban sustainability.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing emphasized that these achievements come as an extension of its strategic orientation in building more efficient and sustainable cities, achieving integration between urban development and municipal services, enhancing the quality of life, and supporting the path of comprehensive urban transformation, in line with the aspirations of national development and achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
