<Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the region, launched 17 development projects in the industrial cities in Jeddah and the second industrial city in Makkah, worth more than 2.His Highness witnessed the signing of the first industrial contract for precious metals and precious stones activities between MODON and Mahad Al-Dahab, to be located in the first industrial city in Jeddah on an area of 18 thousand square meters, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, and a number of Their Highnesses.

Development of infrastructure networks
The projects included the development of infrastructure networks on an area of more than 11 million square meters, the establishment of 160 new prefabricated factories, the implementation of water transmission lines and the expansion of the water station, in addition to a quality laboratory in the food cluster, electricity and common services projects, which enhance the sustainability of services and support the rapid growth in the industrial and logistics sectors.

These projects come within the efforts of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON)
to create an integrated industrial environment, empower national industries, and enhance the role of the industrial sector as a key driver in supporting the national economy.

These projects are part of the ongoing efforts of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON). These projects cover a wide range of sectors including infrastructure, finished products, water and electricity projects, services and utilities, which contribute to raising the readiness of industrial cities, enhancing their competitiveness, supporting industrial expansion and quality investments, and achieving the objectives of the National Industrial Strategy and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
