The Ministry of Transportation has banned 22 contractors from entering any competition offered for the ministry's projects.

This was revealed by the Deputy Minister of Transport Engineer Saad Al-Khalib, who confirmed during his recent inspection of a number of projects being implemented in Hail, that the ministry will deal firmly with all contractors, and will not accept any delay in the implementation of projects for reasons attributed to them, and will take all legal measures, including withdrawing the project and carrying it out at their expense.

During his inspection tour, he directed the withdrawal of the airport intersection project and the 14 intersection on the ring road, which comes as part of the supplementary works project for the Hail Ring Road, from the contractor, due to the slow progress of work and the failure of the contractor for reasons attributed to him after exhausting all legal procedures and giving him many opportunities, and offering it in a public competition and implementing it at his expense according to the system.

Al-Khalib announced the completion of 65% of the tunnel construction project, expecting to finish it completely by the end of 2018.
