تعتزم وزارة الإسكان البحرينية بتوزيع 5000 وحدة سكنية،  وأوضح المهندس باسم بن يعقوب الحمر وزير الإسكان بأن إداراته شرعت فور تلقي أمر توزيع الوحدات السكنية، بحصر المشاريع وأسماء المواطنين المرشحين للاستفادة تمهيدًا لإعداد الجدول الزمني للتوزيع خلال الأيام القليلة المقبلة. ( عقارات خليجية ).

وقال وزير الإسكان إن جميع المشاريع الإسكانية التي سيتم طرحها ضمن البرنامج الزمني للتوزيعات تندرج ضمن المشاريع التي يتم تنفيذها تحت مظلة التوجيهات الملكية السامية للملك حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة عاهل البلاد المفدى ببناء 40 ألف وحدة سكنية، مشيرًا إلى أن الوزارة بلغت مراحل متقدمة للغاية نحو إتمام التوجيهات الملكية.

وقال وزير الإسكان إن هذا التوجيه يأتي استمرارًا للمكتسبات الإسكانية التي تحققت في العهد الزاهر لحضرة صاحب الجلالة ملك البلاد المفدى، ويعكس مدى الاهتمام والرعاية الكبيرة التي توليها القيادة الرشيدة لمواطني المملكة، وحرصها على توفير سبل العيش الكريم لهم، من خلال تقديم الخدمات الاجتماعية، وعلى رأسها الخدمة الإسكانية.
