Land Registry Operations Begin in Mecca, Tabuk, and Riyadh... July 19

Registration covers 1,469 plots in Taif, Amlaj, and Afif through the online platform and service centers until October 22, 2026.

The the General Real Estate Authority has announced the start of physical registration of real estate for (1,469) parcels in the regions of Makkah, Tabuk, and Riyadh, beginning on Sunday, July 19, 2026, corresponding to 5 Safar 1448 AH, through the end of Thursday, October 22, 2026, corresponding to 11 Jumada al-Awwal 1448 AH.
The Authority clarified that the neighborhoods benefiting from the real estate registry at this stage in the Makkah region, in the Taif Governorate, are: (part of the Umm al-Rasaf neighborhood, part of the al-Qarahi neighborhood, and part of the Umm al-Arad neighborhood), Registration will also begin for a number of real estate parcels in the Tabuk region of Amlaj Governorate, and registration will begin for a number of real estate parcels in the Riyadh region, in the Afif Governorate. The Authority noted that the neighborhoods were selected based on specific criteria, and that the remaining regions, governorates, and neighborhoods to be subject to real estate registration across the Kingdom will be announced in due course.

The Real Estate Authority noted that the initial registration of properties in these regions and neighborhoods will be available through the electronic real estate registry platform https://rer.sa, or through service centers, noting that physical registration requires a title deed that meets the regulatory requirements to complete the registration process. The Authority called on property owners in the regions and neighborhoods subject to physical registration to verify their title deeds and ensure they meet the necessary requirements in preparation for the start of registration, Inquiries about the registration steps can be made through the Authority’s official platforms or by calling the Customer Service Center at 199002.

Starting on the designated date for the commencement of registration, a “property number” and a title registration deed will be issued for each registered property unit, The title deed will include the property’s details, descriptions, condition, and associated rights and obligations linked to precise geospatial information, thereby contributing to the strengthening of infrastructure and the sustainability of the real estate sector, as the real estate registration system aims to increase the reliability of real estate records and enhance transparency in the real estate sector.
