Maintenance and rehabilitation work on roads and street lighting in Jazan has strengthened the region’s infrastructure, with the goal of improving network efficiency, enhancing safety, and improving quality of life. This development has had a positive impact on municipal service indicators and beneficiary satisfaction.
According to the Jazan Regional Municipality, the coverage of road coverage improved by (450%) during the period from 2022 to 2026, in addition to the rehabilitation of (812) kilometers of asphalt pavement, (214) kilometers of sidewalks, and (171) kilometers of street lighting. This was reflected in the number of reports received from beneficiaries, as the Secretariat recorded 7,106 reports in 2026, compared to 35,916 reports in 2022, a decrease of 80%.
The Secretariat noted that beneficiary satisfaction with the handling of reports rose to (93%) in 2026, compared to (35%) in 2022, representing an improvement of (166%).
These efforts are part of a strategy aimed at ensuring the sustainability of maintenance work and improving the efficiency of municipal assets, in line with the growth witnessed in the Jazan region, providing higher-quality and safer roads and streets, and enhancing the urban environment, which in turn improves the quality of life for residents and visitors.
