During the Fifth Business Youth Forum organized by the Riyadh Chamber, Ali Al-Othaim, a member of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Chamber and Chairman of the Business Youth Committee, called on businessmen to invest in the opportunities that were revealed in the civil aviation sector during the session presented by Sakhr Al-Melhem, Director General of Commercial Development and Property, entitled “Investment Opportunities in the General Authority of Civil Aviation” within the sessions of the forum honored by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region with wide participation from government and private sector representatives.

Othaim urged businessmen to take advantage of the investment opportunities available in the General Authority for Civil Aviation and its 27 airports, which are to be privatized gradually; to include the air navigation sector and the information technology sector, adding that the first phase targets 11 airports (King Abdulaziz International Airport, King Khalid Airport, King Fahd International Airport, Abha, Al-Qassim, Hail, Bisha, Al-Baha, Yanbu, Jizan and Al-Ahsa Airport).

Othaim pointed out that the establishment of cargo villages will accelerate the pace of services provided and maximize the mutual benefit for service providers and beneficiaries, pointing out the importance of taking advantage of the opportunities resulting from the Authority's plans to exploit the land belonging to airports to build hotels, commercial complexes, knowledge and education centers, in addition to recreational centers, medical and industrial centers.
