Barwa Real Estate Group has revealed its plans for a range of mega projects, some of which were showcased during its active participation in Cityscape Qatar 2013, which took place from May 27-29.
Mr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Subaie, CEO of Barwa Real Estate Group, said in a special statement to Amlak newspaper, which participated as a media sponsor of Cityscape Qatar 2013: ”We are truly proud to innovate and develop a wide range of real estate projects at the local and international level. Barwa continues to build a variety of innovative and promising projects in Qatar and around the world,” he added.
The President of Barwa Real Estate pointed to the group's participation in several projects on the Cityscape Qatar platform, most notably Al Maha Island, which consists of a pedestrian-only area that includes high-end villas, a water park and five floating hotels. The pioneering group is also planning to establish the Gulf Resort on an area of 250 hectares, which includes a natural harbor, three hotels and a shopping center. Other key projects include: Darah, a residential project with a built-up area of 176,000 square meters in Jabal Thaalib, known as Fox Hills. Fox Hills covers an area of 1.6 million square meters in Lusail City.
On Barwa's other offerings that attracted visitors to the exhibition, Al Subaie told Amlak: ”There was a great participation in our international projects, including Otomari in Turkey, which consists of 391 luxury residential units, noting that 90 percent of the project, scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2013, has been sold out.“
Regarding the projects related to the infrastructure of Qatar's projects to host the 2022 World Cup, the President of Barwa Group explained that the group will complete a large number of projects assigned to it as planned before the start of the World Cup, pointing out that Qatar's hosting of the World Cup is a unique global event that emphasizes the great global status that Qatar enjoys.
