The Central Department of Development Projects at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and the General Administration of the Saudi Building Code, in cooperation with the Construction Works Company (Saudi Projax), started training (1400) engineers and technicians at the Ministry's agencies, secretariats and municipalities on the application of the Saudi Building Code, in three phases in Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah.
The Ministry completed the first phase of the program by organizing (16) training courses and introductory workshops at the Engineering Training Center at the Ministry's headquarters in Al Mather, Riyadh recently. The total number of engineers and technicians benefiting from this phase of the project reached (487) trainees, 87 more than the targeted number, including (358) engineers and (129) technicians from all municipalities and secretariats of the different regions of the Kingdom.
The Ministry has completed the first phase of the program by organizing (16) training courses and introductory workshops.
The ministry is making preparations to start the second phase at the end of Dhu al-Hijjah this year, and some training courses will be implemented in Jeddah and Dammam.
The total number of training courses to be implemented in all phases is (48) training courses, 16 courses for each phase, including (12) programs for engineers and (4) programs for technicians, in addition to the organization of 4 workshops.
The training courses for engineers and technicians include inspection and testing requirements and requirements, structural design, loads and forces, soil and foundation requirements and requirements, architectural requirements, and other requirements related to construction work.
