Ministry of Housing holds a specialized introductory workshop to discuss the draft property leasing system and its enforcement mechanism

As part of its efforts to spread the culture of dealing with the real estate system and renting it, the Ministry of Housing held a workshop at its headquarters in Riyadh, to discuss the draft real estate rental system, with the participation of a number of specialists and interested academics, real estate and legal experts.

At the beginning of the workshop, the General Supervisor of Rental Sector Regulation at the Ministry of Housing, Engineer Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Bati, thanked and appreciated the invitees for their interest in participating in the workshop to express their opinions, suggestions and observations on the draft real estate rental system, stressing the ministry's interest in developing appropriate regulations for this sector and finding controls that would protect all relevant parties.

He added that the rental market in the Kingdom is of utmost importance that prompts us to take care of it and work to regulate it in an optimal manner that ensures protection and benefit for both the tenant and the landlord and the real estate broker.

The General Supervisor of Rental Sector Regulation reviewed with the workshop participants a number of topics related to the real estate rental system in the Kingdom, where they discussed its objectives and scope of application, the most prominent challenges and obstacles facing it, and the mechanisms followed in renting housing.
