The creation of a highly efficient green building division for buildings through urban, economic and social technology, aims to preserve the Saudi identity and environmental heritage, and protect and promote the components of sustainable urban development.
This was explained by Dr. Ghazi Al-Abbasi, Secretary General of the Saudi Board of Engineers at the first meeting of the Green Building Division, which was held recently at the headquarters of the Saudi Board of Engineers in Riyadh, during which he urged to support human and environmental friendly services and products and consumer protection to achieve a prestigious position in the Gulf and internationally.
For his part, Consultant Engineer Faisal Al Fadl, Chairman of the Green Building Division of the Saudi Board of Engineers, stressed the importance of enabling engineers, businessmen, professionals, responsible and specialized governmental and non-governmental institutions to reach optimal solutions, raise the level of performance and encourage creativity and innovation. And promote knowledge transfer and localization efforts.
The meeting elected the heads of the technical committees until 2016, where Engineer Mohammed Al Saqr headed the Public Relations Committee, Engineer Anas Al Shawaf headed the Finance Committee, Engineer Mamdouh Tashkandi the Events Committee, Engineer Sultan Al Ghamdi the Qualification Committee, and Engineer Ali Nazzal the Projects Committee.
