Saudi Buildings Company Signs Memorandums of Understanding with Nine Entities to Invest in Educational Real Estate

Tatweer Buildings Company, represented by its CEO, Engineer Fahad bin Ibrahim Al-Hammad, and nine government and quasi-government entities and private sector companies, memorandums of understanding aimed at exchanging knowledge for investment in educational buildings, in the presence of Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed Al-Issa.

Badr bin Badah Al-Fagham, Vice President of Commercial Affairs at Tatweer Buildings, explained that the signing of the MoUs included the Saudi Authority for Accredited Assessors, Al-Bawani Company, and the Saudi Green Building Council, Al-Kifah Holding Company, Shaker Holding Group, Ajyad Knowledge Company, Mafak Capital, Banque Saudi Fransi, and HSBC.

He noted that Tatweer Construction will offer undeveloped land to the private sector for investment, either for the construction of private schools or public schools, noting that agreements have been signed with suppliers and manufacturers such as Shaker Air Conditioning and Bouani to supply their products for school construction, which helps reduce construction costs, In addition, these companies, including Kifah Holding, have the capacity to invest in educational buildings.

Al-Fagham added that an agreement has been reached with HSBC to lead the advisory process for contracts to be concluded with the private sector under the Executive Program for Public-Private Partnerships to provide educational buildings, as well as with Banque Saudi Fransi, while the aim of the agreement with the Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers is for it to serve as the authorized body to evaluate educational buildings, educational assets, and leasing operations for the private sector. An agreement was also signed with a law and legal consulting firm to serve as the authorized entity for drafting contracts for the public-private partnership.

The Vice President of Commercial Affairs at Tatweer Buildings stated that an agreement was signed with the Saudi Green Building Council with the aim of ensuring that all private and government educational buildings are environmentally friendly and operate with high energy efficiency.
