<During the third quarter of 2013, the Saudi Credit and Savings Bank (SCSB) approved the financing of 530 projects worth SR 131 million in various regions and cities of the Kingdom, including multiple specialties, bringing the total number of projects approved during the three quarters to 1495 projects worth more than SR 376 million.
Ahmed Al-Jabreen, spokesperson of the Saudi Credit and Savings Bank, explained that the bank provided more than 31,000 social loans worth more than 1.3 billion riyals during the third quarter of 2013, distributed among marriage, family and home renovation loans for low-income people, bringing the total number of social loans approved during the three quarters to 102.3,000 loans worth more than 4.4 billion riyals.
With regard to the Charity Discharge Account, he explained that reports indicate that since its establishment in 2006 until the end of the third quarter, the account received a total of 251.6 million riyals with 27.6 deposits, with the third quarter of 2013 receiving deposits amounting to more than 5.2 million riyals.
