Mr. Edward Burton, CEO of the U.S. Business Council—that there is a strong presence of a number of Saudi companies in the United States in the real estate sector, basic industries, and Aramco, in addition to many other investments, including individual real estate investments and shares held by Saudi investors in various U.S. companies.
Burton emphasized that there is a strong presence of Saudi investment in the U.S., reinforced by the delegations we consistently see of Saudi executives and businesspeople who regularly participate in commercial and investment events in the U.S., Just a month ago, a Saudi delegation attended the “SelectUSA” summit, a high-level event dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment in the United States.
Saudi-U.S. relations have seen progress on the economic front, particularly following the Saudi-U.S. summit that brought together the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz —may God protect him—and U.S. President Donald Trump during his first visit following his election as President of the United States. The U.S. business delegation participating in the summit expressed a high degree of confidence in the Kingdom’s leadership of economic initiatives through Vision 2030, in addition to holding a number of discussions with several Fortune 500 CEOs and executives, who viewed the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 as an opportunity to help shape a better economic and industrial future for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
