<The Ministry of Finance revealed on Sunday the state's general budget report for the second quarter of the fiscal year 1438/1439 AH (2017), where the total revenues amounted to 163.906 billion SAR, an increase of (6 %) compared to the same quarter last year, while actual expenditures during the quarter amounted to (23 %) of the total estimated budget during the year, while the deficit recorded 46,517 billion SAR, a decrease of (20 %) compared to the deficit recorded in the same quarter last year.

General indicators of the second quarter 2017 budget
The financial indicators of the performance of the state's general budget for the second quarter of the fiscal year 1438/1439H (2017) are as follows:
- Total revenues for the second quarter amounted to SAR 163.906 billion, registering an increase of (6 %) over the same quarter last year.
- Non-oil revenues for the second quarter amounted to SAR 62.916 billion.
- Oil revenues for the second quarter amounted to SAR 99.100 billion, a growth rate of (28%) compared to the same quarter last year driven by improved oil prices in the global markets.
- Total expenses during the second quarter amounted to SAR210.42 billion, a decrease of (1.3 %) compared to the same quarter last year.
- Actual disbursements during the second quarter amounted to approximately (23%) of the total estimated budget for the year.
- The deficit in the second quarter amounted to SAR 46,517 billion. A decrease of (20%) compared to the deficit recorded in the same quarter last year.
- Public debt increased from SAR 316,580 billion to SAR 341,4 billion, driven by successful Sukuk issuances.
