The value of real estate transactions completed during the month of Rabi" al-Thani 1439 AH reached approximately 34.3 billion riyals, an increase of 99 % compared to the same period last year, according to data released by the Ministry of Justice.
This figure is the highest in 24 months—that is, since Rabi" al-Thani 1437 AH—when the value reached approximately 36.4 billion riyals.The value of real estate transactions has risen by 18% since the beginning of 1439 AH—equivalent to 13.6 billion riyals—compared to the same period in 1438 AH, reaching 90.3 billion riyals.The rise in real estate transactions during Rabi" al-Thani 1439 AH is attributed to a 65% increase in residential transactions, which reached approximately 18.6 billion riyals.
Meanwhile, the value of commercial transactions reached approximately 15.8 billion riyals during the month of Rabi" al-Thani 1439 AH, marking an increase of 169% compared to the same period last year.
Real estate transactions involving land plots (residential and commercial) accounted for the largest share during the month of Rabi’ al-Thani of the year 1439 AH, with a value of 30 billion riyals, accounting for approximately 87% of the total value, followed by apartment transactions worth 1.55 billion riyals. As for the most active cities in terms of the value of residential real estate transactions during Rabi’ al-Thani, Riyadh ranked first with transactions valued at 5.02 billion riyals, an increase of 57% compared to the same month last year, followed by Jeddah with 2.92 billion riyals, an increase of 55%.
As for commercial transactions, Riyadh was the most active city, with the value of transactions completed during Rabi’ al-Thani reaching approximately 8.67 billion riyals, a 147% increase over the same month last year.
