The Organizing Committee of the 24th World Energy Congress announced that Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has joined the list of sponsors to host the Congress, which will be held in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, from September 9-12, 2019 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.
<The agreement was signed by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, and HE Dr. Matar Al Neyadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Industry and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 24th World Energy Congress.
<Organized by the World Energy Council (WEC) since 1924 in one of the world's major capitals or cities around the world every three years, the World Energy Congress is the largest global gathering to address energy challenges and shape the future of the global energy industry, bringing together heads of state, energy leaders and leading experts from around the world to discuss global energy issues. This is the first time that the conference will be hosted in an Arab city and the UAE will be the first member of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to host this global conference.
