The platform aims to make contracting with government agencies faster, easier and more transparent in procurement processes, standardize procurement for all government agencies, and regularize disbursement by following up on financial claims, as well as reduce project defaults.
The Governor of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, Engineer Saleh Al-Rasheed, explained that Monshaat is keen to empower SMEs as the economic engine of development, so it works continuously in coordination and cooperation with its partners in the public, private and non-profit sectors to stimulate this sector in the Kingdom's regions to raise its output level.
The “Etimad” platform invites all SMEs to register and apply for government tenders if they meet the conditions, as the platform provides the ability to track disbursement orders and shows the beneficiaries the status of disbursement and alerts them in case of any shortcomings, and the “Etimad” platform aims to implement payment in a period not exceeding 60 days.
The Ministry of Finance launched the “Etimad” platform in cooperation with its strategic partner Thiqa Business Services at the beginning of this year to enable digital transformation in its financial transactions. to provide all Etimad services to the government and private sectors. The platform helps accelerate the completion process, save time and effort for beneficiaries from both sectors and dispense with paper transactions to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and transparency. Government entities benefit from Etimad by managing their budget, launching competitions, registering contracts and approvals, disbursing financial claims and paying their employees“ financial rights electronically and easily, and the private sector can review and purchase government tenders, apply for them, submit financial claims and track them with ease and transparency.
