Launching the Unified Payment Window System at Saudi Ports

The General Authority for Ports (MPA) launched today the first pilot phase of the unified payment window system at Jeddah Islamic Port as a first phase, in cooperation with the General Authority of Customs (GAC), Saudi Electronic Information Exchange Company (Tebadul) and Saudi British Bank (SABB).

The service aims to unify fees and charges automatically, facilitate financial transactions and reduce the time and effort on customs brokers, freight forwarders and port operators, in addition to traders, by eliminating cash transactions in Saudi ports and working around the clock.

The Unified Payment Window service enables customs brokers, freight forwarders and port operators to work around the clock. The Unified Payment Window service enables participants in the National Import and Export System “Fasah Platform” from invoicing to receiving and paying invoices and requirements related to the system through a unified electronic point. This service also enables all users to replenish their balances through multiple payment methods (bank deposit, SADAD) through direct electronic integration between “Fasah Platform” and the banking system at the Saudi British Bank “SABB”, in addition to the possibility of transferring the balance from the customer's virtual account to his bank account according to the procedures for protecting cash operations.

This service enables all users to replenish their balances through multiple payment methods (bank deposits, SADADAD). In its first phase, the service provides many e-services, including registration, service orders, invoices, payments, bank account management, reports, automatic invoices, payment retrieval, bank reconciliation, and receiving complaints and suggestions.

The service is available in its first phase, which is experimental. It is noteworthy that the General Authority of Ports (Ports) and the General Authority of Customs (GAC) are working in partnership with the Saudi Electronic Information Exchange Company (Tebadul) to develop e-services, within the “Fasah Platform”, with the aim of making the Kingdom a global logistics center and enhancing its position in global markets, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
