The Ministry of Justice revealed that real estate notarization transactions in February totaled more than 30,000, 50 percent of which were for title transfers, with the remainder distributed among the notarization of powers of attorney, mortgage releases, and real estate mortgages, as well as the correction of deeds and the release of mortgages. Notaries also carried out a number of financial disclosure certifications, the termination of powers of attorney, and the notarization of corporate contracts, bringing the total number of notarization transactions to more than 39,000.
The Ministry stated that the Notary Service aims to make it easier for individuals, institutions, and companies to benefit from the same services provided through notary offices, by making them available anytime and anywhere with high quality and in a short time.
It is worth noting that the Notary Service is one of the Ministry of Justice’s most prominent services, which it has outsourced to the private sector in partnership with the technical partner “Thiqah” to streamline notarization procedures for beneficiaries and in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The Ministry noted that the Notary Service provides a wide range of notarization services, including the notarization or termination of powers of attorney and the notarization of corporate contracts, in addition to the notarization of real estate transfers and mortgage services, which include real estate mortgage services, mortgage release, property transfer with mortgage, deed correction, and financial declaration services—including debt acknowledgment, debt repayment acknowledgment, and debt waiver—through notaries licensed by the Ministry of Justice located throughout the Kingdom. Beneficiaries can also request notarization services through the Notary Service app, available on smart devices via the Apple App Store and Google Play.
