<An official source at the Ministry of Interior announced that based on what was submitted by the competent health authorities and given the progress - praise be to God - in immunizing the community and the decrease in the number of cases, the generous approval was issued to ease health precautions starting on Sunday, October 17, 2021, as follows:
First: Not obligated to wear a mask in open places - except for exempted places - while continuing to be obligated to wear it in closed places.
Second: The precautionary measures for those who have received two doses of the (COVID-19) vaccine are relaxed as follows:
1- Allowing the use of the full capacity in the Grand Mosque, while requiring workers and visitors to wear masks at all times in all corridors of the mosque, and continuing to use the application to take Umrah and prayer times to control the numbers present at the same time.
2- Allowing the use of the full capacity in the Prophet's Mosque while requiring workers and visitors to wear masks at all times in all corridors of the mosque, and using the Umrah or Tawakkalna app to take prayer times and visit the Holy Rawdah to control the numbers present simultaneously.
3- Cancelling the distancing and allowing the use of the full capacity in gatherings, public places, transportation, restaurants, cinemas and so on.
4- Allowing the establishment and attendance of events in wedding halls and others without limiting the number, with the importance of emphasizing the application of precautionary measures due to the seriousness of the behaviors associated with it.
Third: Two-dose immunization is required to enter all sites and activities referred to in the second above, excluding those who are not included and excluded according to what appears in the Tawakkalna application. With everyone adhering to all applicable precautionary measures, including wearing a mask.
Fourth: Distancing and wearing masks will continue to be applied in locations that do not apply the verification of the health status of their visitors through the Tawakkalna application.
Fifth: The Public Health Authority “Weqaya” prepares the preventive measures that must be adhered to for all activities mentioned in item (II).
Sixth: Emphasizing the public and private sectors and the like; by checking the immunization status in the “Tawakkalna” application for all those who wish to enter the facility, and following up on compliance with the precautionary measures and preventive measures taken by the concerned authorities to face the pandemic, including wearing a mask.
Seventh: Emphasizing the relevant authorities - each in their respective areas - to apply the prescribed penalties against those who violate the precautionary measures and preventive measures taken by the concerned authorities to confront the pandemic.
Eighth: The Ministry of Health will follow up on the number of inpatient cases due to COVID-19, especially intensive care, and report on the need to tighten precautionary measures at the level of cities, governorates or regions.
