Riyadh Chamber invites contractors wishing to fencing space lands to register on the “Baladi” platform”

The Riyadh Chamber has invited construction companies and interested parties wishing to fence off vacant land to register at the “Baladi” platform using the forms provided in the guide issued by the Chamber.

The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing had previously required owners of vacant land located along major roads in the cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Makkah, and accordingly issued a guide to fencing models for vacant land as part of the implementation of several initiatives to address visual pollution, improve the urban landscape, and enhance the quality of life in Saudi cities; including the fencing of land located along major and arterial roads in these areas.

The guide, prepared by the Ministry in partnership with engineering firms, specific models for the design of fences for vacant lots, along with technical specifications and the materials used for their construction, and that contractors wishing to undertake the work can obtain services through the «Instant Approval Service.»

The guide states that vacant lots located on commercial streets are among the factors that must be regulated to improve the quality of the urban landscape and harmonize their appearance with surrounding buildings, in line with one of the Ministry’s initiatives to address visual distortion
