A report released by the General Authority for Statistics a rise in residential land prices in the first quarter of 2022, with the residential sector recording a 1.5% increase, driven by a 1.8% rise in residential land prices. Given the residential sector’s weight, it was the primary factor influencing the overall index increase. Overall, the bulletin indicated that the Kingdom’s real estate price index rose by 0.4% in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The “Statistics Authority” this increase to changes in the main sectors comprising the index, as it was influenced by a 1.5% rise in “residential” real estate prices by 1.5 percent, while the decline in prices of “commercial” real estate by 1.7 percent and ”agricultural” real estate by 0.5 percent contributed to reducing the overall index’s rise.
