The “Sakani” program its July report, highlighting its key achievements through the end of June 2022, along with a set of data and statistics on construction updates for projects, beneficiary families, and the number of real estate transfer certificates issued.
The report also highlighted that 14,079 Saudi families benefited from the program in June, while 15,637 Saudi families moved into their first homes last month, as part of the program’s ongoing efforts to enable Saudi families to own their first home, in line with the Housing Program’s (one of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 programs) goal of achieving a homeownership rate of 70% by 2030.
In its monthly report, “Sakani” stated that it had issued 692,835 real estate transaction tax certificates for first homes as of the end of June 2022, as part of the program’s efforts to achieve the goals of the Housing Program (one of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 initiatives) by raising the homeownership rate for Saudi families to 70% by 2030, noting that 80,259 Saudi households had benefited from the beginning of the year through the end of last June from all housing options and financing solutions that the program makes available electronically to its beneficiaries through simple and accessible procedures. Meanwhile, the number of Saudi families who moved into their first homes reached 95,308. The report also highlighted the latest construction updates in housing projects being implemented in partnership with real estate developers and overseen by the “Wafi” off-plan sale or lease program, which is characterized by integrated infrastructure and competitive prices.
The report reviewed the housing and financing solutions offered by the program, including the new optional housing support packages launched last month, namely: (the Upfront Support Package, the Rent Package, the Furniture Package, the Self-Build Package, and the Home Renovation Package). These new packages provide beneficiaries with flexible and diverse solutions, by providing immediate, non-repayable support to beneficiaries of ready-to-move-in housing units, units under construction, and self-build projects, in partnership with the Real Estate Development Fund and financing entities such as banks, financial institutions, and real estate developers, Noting that this initiative stems from “Sakani’s” commitment to the continuity of housing support and the importance of diversifying financing and housing options to accelerate the pace at which Saudi families can own their own homes, These options can be easily accessed through the “Sakani” website and app from a list of diverse choices, with the aim of facilitating home ownership for citizens in a manner that aligns with their needs and financial capabilities.
