Jeddah's slum committee revealed that it has paid more than 243 million riyals in rent to 14,000 families living in slums since the project began last October until now.

Jeddah's slum committee revealed that it has paid more than 243 million riyals in rent to 14,000 families living in slums.

The committee explained that the state provides a package of free services to citizens from slum residents covered by the organization, foremost of which is the provision of temporary housing and payment of rent, which benefited 14,156 families, and 213 citizens registered in social security from residents of the neighborhoods covered by the organization were employed through empowerment programs directed to this group, and the total services provided reached 86 thousand services, including food baskets, water, water, meals, medicine, baby milk and furniture transportation.

The committee explained that the state provides a package of free services to citizens from slum residents covered by the organization.

It is worth noting that the committee, in cooperation with the citizens of the informal neighborhoods, has succeeded in removing 28 neighborhoods, leaving 4 neighborhoods remaining, namely: Al-Motanzahat, Qweiza, Al-Adl and Al-Fadl, Umm Al-Salam and Kilo 14 North, which are expected to be completed by the end of October.
