The workshop was attended by a number of government agencies and the private sector. <Issam Al Mubarak, Secretary General of the Saudi Commission for Certified Valuers, and Sheikh Hani Al Rifai, Assistant President of the Administrative Court in Makkah, spoke at the workshop. Mr. Mansour Abu Riash spoke with a working paper on the factors affecting real estate valuation in Makkah in which he talked about the determinants of real estate valuation in Makkah and Madinah and indicated that it differs from what it is anywhere in the world and is characterized by at least 20 criteria. After that, Engineer Sultan Al-Jaris and Engineer Ahmed Sabri from the Saudi Commission for Accredited Valuers explained the different valuation criteria that can be followed to reach a credible asset valuation process that is reliable by all parties and does not lead to injustice to any party to the transfer of ownership in various projects. The workshop ended with a dialog session between the attendees and members of the Saudi Commission for Certified Valuers.
Dr. For his part, Dr. Osama bin Fadl Al-Bar, Secretary of the Holy Capital, said that the real estate market in Makkah in particular needs intensive training for cadres in real estate valuation issues, so Al-Balad Al-Amin Company for Development and Urban Development in cooperation with the Saudi Commission for Accredited Valuers started organizing the workshop that helps in developing the valuation profession and raising the level of its workers professionally, technically and ethically, qualifying young cadres through specialized educational programs and accrediting qualified residents in practicing the profession from all branches of valuation to be able to determine fair value for real estate.
The workshop ended with a dialogue session between the attendees and the members of the Saudi Commission for Accredited Valuers.
