Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al Haqeel chairs the coordination committee for the development of the contracting sector; which includes, in addition to the "Municipality and Housing": (Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Ministry of Investment, Ministry of Economy and Planning, Spending Efficiency and Government Projects Authority, Saudi Contractors Association, and Saudi Engineers Association. The committee is working to improve procedures and develop mechanisms and systems that work in the contracting sector, to raise the level of governance and increase transparency, reach high efficiency in investment attractiveness, and achieve high participation of the sector in the national economy.
